My approach is designed for travelers who want to remained involved in the planning process while still benefiting from professional insight, booking oversight, and ongoing involvement during the trip.
What does a travel
consultant do?
Unlike most travel booking agents and online cruise brokers, I work with my clients throughout the entire process:

How my services differ:
Large online booking companies often provide little ongoing involvement once reservations are completed, while highly customized itinerary planners typically focus on creating detailed day-by-day itineraries and may charge significant planning fees for those services.

My approach is more collaborative. Rather than simply processing reservations or building rigid itineraries, I stay involved throughout the process by helping travelers organize plans, monitor bookings, coordinate travel details, and serve as an advocate when unexpected issues arise before or during travel.
How does it work?
Every traveler plans differently. Some clients come to me with a simple idea, while others already have cruises, tours, or tentative plans in mind. My role is to help organize the details, answer questions, and stay involved throughout the planning process.

We start with an initial conversation to discuss your goals and ideas. There is no obligation.
Planning & recommendations

The fun part! We will work together to choose the best options for YOU! Or, if you have already chosen some of the trip components, we will fine tune the details and fill in the gaps.
Booking components
We will book the travel components for you. This allows us to monitor them for changes and make adjustments on your behalf (cruise price reductions for example).
Ongoing support
Service doesn’t end with booking. Through your personal travel app, you’ll have access to all trip details and documents in one place, while we continue working together throughout the planning process and beyond.

Do you charge planning fees?
Most trips booked through Amber Travel Consulting are commission-based. In certain situations, consulting or advisory fees may apply depending on the level of planning, research, or support requested

Can you help if I've already booked part of my trip?
Yes. Depending on the reservation type and supplier policies, I may still be able to assist with existing reservations. I can also help review your travel plans, coordinate additional arrangements, and provide recommendations before travel. Consulting fees may apply for certain travel review or advisory services.

Do you create custom itineraries?
I specialize in travel guidance, trip refinement, and coordinated travel experiences rather than building detailed day-by-day itineraries from scratch.
